All fieldwork

A scoring agent that can show its work.

THE SITUATION

The sales team is looking at a prospect list of nearly seventeen thousand accounts, and every rep has a different theory about which ones matter. Off-the-shelf scoring rates companies on size and industry, but it cannot tell a genuine prospect from a subsidiary, a title and escrow operator from an adjacent business that only looks similar, or a strong account from one with a broken website and nothing behind it. So the scores exist, and nobody trusts them.

This is the normal state of a growth-stage company. The CRM's built-in scoring is a formula on a handful of fields, and the platforms that do this well are built for enterprise revenue teams — six-figure licenses, months of implementation, and a stack of features nobody asked for. Buying another platform to answer one question — who should we call first — is hard to justify.

WHAT WE BUILT

An AI agent now researches each account the way a good analyst would — reading what is publicly available, separating real prospects from lookalikes and duplicates, and scoring both how valuable each account is and how sure it is about that answer. Every score comes with the evidence behind it and a recommended next step. ScaledRev built the agent inside the team's existing Salesforce, and changes reach the CRM carefully: a small test batch first, an independent check, and a clean undo if anything looks wrong. Tuned to their market, live in weeks, owned by the team.

WHAT CHANGED

Reps can sort the entire prospect list by priority, and when a score looks surprising, they can open it and see the evidence behind it. Operations can compare a new version of the scoring against the old one, set unclear accounts aside for a person to review, and put changes live — or pull them back — without ever touching the data reps depend on.
